I first met Todd Gessner while vacationing at Wildcat Lodge near Boulder Junction, WI but I did not have the opportunity to fish with him until I reired almost nine years ago.  I have since managed to use his services multiple times a year both in southern Illinois and northern Wisconsin.

Fishing with Todd is a continuing education and every outing with him is filled with teachable moments.  I have been lucky enough to have fished with two other Hall of Fame Legendary Guides but can honestly say there is no one else I would rather spend a day on the water with.

Travis I want to thank you for having great patience fishing with my dad and I. You did a great job of getting us on to fish. I know you didn’t really want to go into the buck brush because it could be frustrating, but you set my dad and I up to be successful in it. We both had a great time and enjoyed your hospitality, companionship, and great guiding. I know my wife as well enjoyed being down in that area and we are looking forward to coming back.

I just wanted to thank you again for a wonderful fishing trip on Rend Lake. Walter and I enjoyed your guides and learned a lot from them. They were both personable, funny, and oh so patient with us! The highlight of our trip was meeting you. It is always humbling to meet a legend and find out that he is approachable, friendly, funny, and genuinely a nice guy!

One thing I wanted to be sure of; the price you quoted me was $225 a day because I signed up for two days so when we paid each guide $275 we were including a tip of $25 each for the guide from each of us. If I erred in the price let me know because I would not want to short anyone.

The next thing is Walter and I had so much fun, we wanted to explore your availability in Wisconsin for a small mouth, walleye trip. So could you let us know when you might have an opening this summer? We are probably looking at July as June is busy for Walter, but let us know what would work for you.
