Northern Wisconsin Fishing
BoulderJunction andVilasCounty(Northern Wisconsin)
In the Boulder Junction area and Vilas County, Wisconsin we offer outstanding guided trips on many of the area’s numerous lakes for Walleye fishing, Smallmouth Bass fishing, Musky fishing and panfishing. Our Boulder Junction/Vilas County fishing report is the only REAL report available! We will share with you the latest and most effective local techniques for catching Walleye, Smallmouth, Musky and Panfish!
Located in the heart of the Northern Highlands State Forest, this area is almost entirely wooded with large expanses of wild country and crystal clear lakes. Boulder Junction is the “Musky capital of the world”! Although the area fishing pressure has increased dramatically in the last 25 years, the aggressive stocking program of the Wisconsin DNR has maintained the quality fishing the area is long known for!
The number of lakes to fish is mind boggling (within a 10 mile radius around Boulder Junction there are 194 lakes). Some of my favorites: Trout Lake(VilasCounty’s largest), Big Lake, both White Sand Lakes, Clear Lake and Big Muskelunge, Island Lake, and Rest Lake.
Boulder Junction, small community that it is, offers lots of fun shopping for the ladies, and a host of activities to be enjoyed by young and old alike!
As a guide and avid outdoorsman, I am very lucky to be able to pursue my passions in these two wonderful areas, Northern Wisconsin and Southern Illinois. Both offer amazing fishing and vacationing opportunities, gorgeous scenery, and wonderful people! Please join me to enjoy one or both!
